Search substances on ECHA:s webpage

  1. Go to ECHA:s database: https://echa.europa.eu/home and https://echa.europa.eu/sv/
  2. Search for the respective chemicals in the components in ECHA's database
  3. Click on the substance that matches your search question.
  1. Then a ”substance info card” will open.
    1. Substance identity: Here you can see ”EG/List no.” and ”CAS-no”
    2. Properties of concern: Here you can see if the substance is on various lists, such as the PBT list etc.
      1. Check if the substance is an endocrine disruptor, is a substance of very high concern (SVHC substances), is a potentially persistent, bio accumulative and toxic organic compound (PBT) or a potentially very persistent and highly bio accumulative organic compound (POP) or a highly fluorinated substance (PFAS),
    3. C&L inventory: If you click here, you can see the classification of the substance


  1. Click on C&L-inventory to see the classification of the substance
     
  2. Check H-phrases against the BASTA system's criteria
    Important: For certain criteria, substances with a relevant H-phrases should be summarised. This is described under each criterion.
    In BASTA's template for assessment there is also a function that marks out relevant criteria depending on the entered H-phrases.
